The shark skin 1.1 is the youngest of the HST blades, the first step in the hardness scale of the carbon range of handmade blades. The shark skin 1.1 is built with the HPTS method as all the other models. With this method, the blade acquires explosive rebound and resistance to tension, crushing and rolling. The blade shark skin 1.1, consists of four layers of carbon fabrics and a reinforcement that reaches to the middle of the blade to 33 points. The bending is gradual and evenly divided. The first layers of fabric create a certain stiffness in the bending of the blade lure the soft layers of the fabric and lead to quick recovery. The shark skin 1.1 defuses 1.100 gr at an angle of 45.5º.The width of the blade is progressively increasing with the front part of it flattened so as to displace large amounts of water without slowing down the rebound. It is equipped with the most sophisticated bilge keels of the market that HST designed and manufactures.

The construction of the blade has passed through several stages of testing to reach the final result. This new model of HST completes the first range of blades directed at underwater divers who want to apply a slow and comfortable thrust. The shark skin 1.4 is recommended for people weighing from 65 up to 80 kgr. It has a reinforcement at 41 cm and consists of four different layers of fabric (carbon). The combination of these particular fabrics and reinforcement make the shark skin 1.4 to rebound vigorusly but mostly provide a smooth and harmonious thrust. The first thing to realize by wearing this blade is the combination of speed and energy savings during a dive. The emergence is relaxed by making the minimal effort and gaining the maximum efficiency.

The shark skin 1.7 blade is constructed with the HPTS method. HST applies this method to the construction of this blade because it offers absolute soaking in all the layers of carbon fabrics used to make it. The shark skin1.7 blade consists of a total 6 layers of carbon fabrics and the combination of four different grades used create a firm blade, lightweight but with a vigorous rebound. While the shark skin 1.7 might seem soft for a blade with a displacement of 1.700 grams, you will realize that the rebound and bending become easier and in combination with the vigorous rebound offers to the diver the desirable thrust with little effort, but mostly with little fatigue. The success in this model comes from the basic combination of fabrics in the centre of the construction and the selective resins used. The shark skin 1.7 has a reinforcement starting from the beginning and ends at 45 cm. The bending is gradual but the main bending point is in the centre of the surface. By this way we exploit all the surface of the blade, making our dive easier and more efficient.

The HST blades series is completed with the hardest blade of the range, the shark skin 2.0. Addressed to free divers that their body weight varies from 90 to 100 kg. The bending point of the blade remains in the centre. The stratification of the fabric is successively smooth and thus provides a certain rigidity to the top of the blade and as it gets close to the edge, the stratification decreases. This strengthens the blade making it firm with a vigorous rebound. The first strong layers attract the remaining surface. Although the shark skin 2.0 offers a plethora of hard carbon fabrics, it has a high performance and mostly without having the free diver to make a great effort, both during the dive and ascent.
This model is ideal for the divers that their body weight is less than the group this blade addresses, but use several kilos in their belt.
